From the Commission “Truth and Punishment” for the murder of Juan Pablo Jimenez

To the worker and struggle organizations of Chile and the world:

On December 12th, Let’s organize actions of struggle in Chile and in the whole world for the release of all the political prisoners!

The workers of Chile and the world must know that on November 21st it will be one year and nine months since Juan Pablo Jimenez, a leading member of Union #1 of AZETA, was murdered.
Juan Pablo was MURDERED from a gunshot to the head on February 21st 2013 inside the company AZETA. The murder took place within the context of several abuses made by the company AZETA to its workers. Juan Pablo was murdered while he was carrying documents for an audience in which he was supposed to denounce these abuses.
The south DA’s office and the PDI (Investigations Police) said that Juan Pablo was killed by a “crazy bullet” fired by a minor from the neighbourhood “La Legua”. After experts examined the scene, that thesis was buried: JUAN PABLO WAS MURDERED INSIDE AZETA. This research will close in 3 months and they want the crime to remain unpunished.

Communication between Omar Mansilla and Claudia Pafundi, from the Commission of condemned workers, relatives and friends of Las Heras in the concert of the Commission Truth and Justice for Juan Pablo Jimenez on November 29th 2014, in Santiago de Chile

In Chile and Argentina, one single struggle for the Truth and Punishment to all the murderers of Juan Pablo Jimenez, for the Acquittal of the oil workers of Las Heras and the release of all the political prisoners of the world

Juan Carlos Jimenez:
…on the 12th we will also make a demonstration for the release of all the political prisoners, for all the imprisoned workers, for the persecuted workers. Comrade, on the 12th in here, we also are going to be in the International Day of the Persecuted Worker…

Omar Mansilla:
“…We are fighting together against the Videlaist justice in Argentina and against the Pinochetist justice that kills the workers and leaves our executioners free…”

The workers of Chile and the world must know that Juan Pablo Jimenez was an honest class committed militant union leader who worked for the construction of unions at the service of the workers. The CUT does not say a single word, since Juan Pablo was not affiliated to it.

For this crime against the militant workers not to remain unpunished, for all the fighters that are imprisoned in Chile and in the whole world to be freed, to stop the persecution on the worker and popular fighters of the world, from the Commission “Truth and Punishment” for Juan Pablo Jimenez, we support the international day of struggle on December 12th: The International Day of the Persecuted Worker.

We denounce the impunity on the murder of Juan Pablo and the impunity on the persecution and imprisonment of the workers that fight for their rights in Chile and the world. This fight is a key part to get our demands of wage, work, education and health.
Therefore, as part of fighting for Truth and Punishment for the murder of Juan Pablo Jimenez, we call all the workers, the militant youth and the workers and students struggle organizations of the whole Chile, to get together on December 12th to make a day of struggle for the immediate release of all the political prisoners Mapuche peasants of Chile, for the release of the political prisoners Shireen, Samer and Medhat Issawi and the more than 7000 Palestinian political prisoners, for the release of the Basque political prisoners and George Abdallah (imprisoned in France), for the acquittal of the oil workers of Las Heras, Argentina, free Mumia Abu Jamal in USA, for the release of the Guantanamo prisoners, the prisoners of Ayo Ayo in Bolivia and for the release of all the political prisoners of the world. Enough with impunity! Enough with persecution and killing of the worker fighters! Truth and punishment to all the responsible! The slave’s uprisings is not a crime, it is justice!
On November 18th it started an “express trial” against five state workers of Rio Gallegos (Santa Cruz, Argentina). They have been in jail for more than a year and are being judged for fighting for wages and better working conditions. Free immediately the comrades! Never again a worker alone in front of a boss’ court!
