Caleta Olivia, Santa Cruz province

As yesterday... Mariano Ferreyra, Carlos Fuentealba, Aníbal Veron, Teresa Rodriguez, Victor Choque, the 40 martyrs of December 20 (2001)... were slaughtered…
As Ismael Sosa, Walter Bulacio and other kids were murdered with impunity by "trigger happy" cops...

Reynaldo Vargas, a new martyr for the labor movement,
Was killed by the thugs paid by the Kirchnerite Union bureaucracy
of the Oil workers Union
His "crime":... to demand a job

At (oil union bureaucrat) Vidal’s home, over 60 weapons were found, which he himself admits he had declared as his, and huge sums of money both in pesos and dollars. No doubt the shooting that killed comrade Vargas came from the oil Union. Who fired were not oil workers. They were thugs hired by the leadership of the Union. Vidal was who gave them the order. No oil worker would have ever attacked with a gun a work mate who was asking for a job to support his family. We are sure of that.

Dozens of weapons that the same Vidal recognizes he had in his house were not there or in the Union to defend workers... they were there to kill workers. This is what Vidal’s thugs did when firing at close range from inside the Union to a group of construction workers claiming only for a job.
Union leaders, instead of defending the workers, be them from the UOCRA or the oil Union, have armed themselves to kill workers; however at the same time they kneel in front of the bosses and their Governments selling out all our labor gains. For that, these pay them bribes in bulging envelopes.
Who gave such quantity of weapons and money to oil Union bureaucrats and thugs? No oil worker who lives off his sweat and takes bread home with his honest work has such things in his home. It is very clear. Who gave weapons and money to the trade union bureaucracy to kill comrades were the oil companies with the open complicity of the bosses’ politicians and the impunity given by their judges, and the police that freed them the area, while (Santa Cruz province) Governor Peralta was opening a new police station.
They financed and armed thugs and Union leaders so that they corrupt and terror the labor movement and thus be able to sell out the collective labor bargain, stop the claims against the wage tax and also let pass the suspensions and dismissals that oil companies require, as the price of oil has dropped. Large boards of the oil companies are just waiting the next elections to finish, so to be able to openly attack all the conquests of the oil and construction workers.
They paid them and so used them. They gave them money and weapons to attack workers. The bureaucrats did so when they called not a single action or general strike while companions Oñate, Vibares and Armoa were detained for the "crime" of presenting the demands of their companions. That is why the same bureaucrats didn’t do anything to prevent or protest the sentence to life imprisonment given to the oil workers who in 2006 fought against the wage tax and job insecurity.
When the unemployment begins to intensify and the worker rank and file do not accept that oil companies taking abroad big heaps of money when the barrel was $140, now lower them wages and remove them from the collective contract; the employer pushes his henchmen to assault the workers, in this case, the construction workers (the oil companies, with the help of the government and the treacherous union bureaucrats, has got a lot of the workers that had always been considered oil workers to be paid as construction workers, which means a much lower wage than the rest, NT)... Yes, they used them, but for that they pay them millions: to leave the workers as prisoners, to travel to Houston to meet with the heads of the large imperialist companies in their offices and there sell out the wage and the oil of the Argentinean workers and people. They used them to kill workers... For that they pay them, for that they armed them.

We must speak out. The Union was in the hands of the bosses’ justice from 2006 to 2012 and then it went on intervened this time by a trade union bureaucracy paid by the employers. And now, that the companies already used them as assassins, come the gendarmerie to have Santa Cruz militarized again.

Thugs and hit men soaked Santa Cruz workers with the blood of a young worker, tore apart and divided their ranks. Everyone who fights for a demand may be killed by a leader of his Union. This is the brutal defeat imposed on workers in the region. That’s why now, once such a terrible defeat was delivered to the workers, the bosses and the oil companies take the henchman that made the "dirty work” off their shoulders, abandon him and send the gendarmerie. It's a sign that the Government and the employers are now coming for all our achievements.

We are witnessing an attack on the struggle that we have been fighting against the wage tax and job insecurity since 2006, the same fight that we were giving in 2013 and 2014, as in the last month of December with a struggle plan, to make the oil companies pay taxes and not the workers with our wages of misery.
The action of attacking - by Vidal and his thugs – the rank and file of the construction workers claiming only for work to feed their families, was prepared, calculated and even encouraged from the back by the same Salazar, the embezzling top bureaucrat of the UOCRA Santa Cruz.

It was an action organized by the directories of the oil companies, with the complicity of the Government, its judges, and the police who freed the area, to create a river of blood between the oil workers and those of the UOCRA. It is a provocation so the workers of both trades do not unite to stop the attack being prepared against our common achievements, when we carry out the same work in the same oil wells, have suffered the same cold and the same distance from our families.
Thugs of the bureaucracy paid by the managers of the oil companies have shed working class blood so that never again could be raised the cry of Justice of "NO TAX ON THE WAGES. WE'RE ALL OIL WORKERS", as it arose in 2006, when we the construction and oil workers combined, opening the way to defeat the wage tax, the job insecurity and the slave work. It was an action to divide us, destroying the Trade Union, and creating a river of blood between the workers of both trades so that we fight united nevermore.
The assassins of the companies were already used and the ranks of the workers have been weakened. The bureaucrats and their thugs betrayed us. To some they will hide them for a while, for they pay them. Now come the reinforcements of the thugs: the gendarmerie that has militarized Santa Cruz. This is the province of the Kirchners. So is their Trade Union bureaucracy, equal or worse than Pedraza, who was directed by remote control by the railway large contractors in Buenos Aires, so with his thugs he attacked iron and fire the contracted workers who required being in the permanent staff. There comrade Mariano Ferreyra -a member of the Partido Obrero-was killed.

Here (in Santa Cruz) there was not a "CLASH BETWEEN DIFFERENT TRADE UNION FRACTIONS" as the judges and the Government say to hide out that there were the oil companies, the corrupt politicians with their judges and torturer-prosecutors, who sent their henchmen to do the "dirty work" killing workers. It was not the police repressing a demonstration that killed Reynaldo, it was the leaders of a Union. This was a shot to the heart to the working-class unity and struggle...
Vidal and a handful of his followers called for a strike "against the governmental intervention of the Union" and in his defense. But it is they who gave the Union to the oil companies, the Governor Peralta and the Kirchners. For that they earn fortunes. There cannot be a strike in "defense of the oil Union" if not for the trial and punishment for the murderers of Vargas, for the instigators, for those who armed the thugs who fired, and for those from the state power that are concealing them.

It must be said well aloud. The oil workers will not defend their Union if the whole province does not stop demanding trial and punishment for the murderers of construction workers as Reynaldo Vargas, because: we are all oil workers! And: We are all of the UOCRA! All of us are Reynaldo Vargas! Enough of "first class” and "second class” workers! Jobs for all! Long live the unity of the working class!

As we have already said, last year Vidal allowed the unpunished arrest of delegates as Armoa, Vibares and Oñate, which were only demanding better work conditions in their enterprises, and ended up detained for months by prosecutors and judges paid by the oil companies and the Government of Kirchner. Vidal looked the other side when the oil workers of Las Heras were sentenced for life, those who in 2006 had unified the ranks of the workers of the UOCRA and the oil workers against the wage tax and the job insecurity.

If he had called a true plan of struggle, Armoa, Vibares and Oñate had not been a single day in prison, nor had been sentenced Las Heras oil workers.
Vidal wanted to cut the branches of the tree where the more combative and suffered from oil Union workers were supported. The bosses gave him the saw, and put him also it on top of the branch that he cut.  For that they paid him. The bosses are not very grateful with their informers and agents, you see. They use them when it suits them, and if not, they discard them.

THE LEADERS OF THE TRADE UNIONS ARE TO DEFEND THE WORKERS AND NOT TO KILL THEM AND ENSLAVE THEM ON ACCOUNT OF THE EMPLOYERS

In the hands of Salazar and other trade union bureaucrats of the UOCRA of Santa Cruz, are also recruited, as in the oil Union, thugs under the command of the Governor to attack any Union or sector of workers wishing to stand for their rights, organize and fight. The thugs of the UOCRA have been also tested beating up State and municipal workers, teachers, employees of retailers and fast-food chains... But the thugs of the UOCRA did not go to shoot the oil Union thugs. Hit men do not kill their colleagues. Thugs are provided from one union to other, cops doing overtime.
And never the bureaucracy of Salazar could lead that claim that workers of any company should not be dismissed because Salazar works for the bosses and not to lead the claims of workers. He remained padded in the offices of the UOCRA waiting for the outcome.
Salazar is a corrupt man, he loves to receive grafts and earn dirty money. He gets money for trafficking slaves as it does the entire bureaucracy of the UOCRA starting with Gerardo Martinez (Secretary General=President at national level of the UOCRA), a "worker" of the intelligence services of Videla, in 601 Battalion during the 70’s military dictatorship. They bring workers from Bolivia, Paraguay, so they do the worst jobs in construction or raising crops, without rights, often in sweatshops where they have to live enclosed and sleep, to fill the pockets of the slaver employers who pay them a few coins... and even kill them. Enough already of smuggling slaves! We are all workers! Equal pay for equal work! Justice for Reynaldo and his destroyed family!
All of them will try, once the noise lowers, to tend a blanket of silence. Thus happened when the massacre of four immigrant workers in the Indoamerican Park, in Buenos Aires city. They were demanding housing and were killed like dogs.
Immigrant workers build Argentina together with us. Transnational corporations are stealing the Argentine work and have sent abroad billions of dollars of wealth from our country. The gringos are who must go out! For the unity of the working class! We workers have only chains to break!

The truth already cannot be hid anymore. What happened in Caleta Olivia was a rally of rank and file workers that demanded wages, jobs and protested against the dismissals, who were left to their fate by the bureaucracy of the UOCRA. Reynaldo was just coming from the Town Hall where he had gone to get a handout of school supplies for her daughter, and then accompanied his brother to ask for a job. No true worker could have killed a young person -23 years old- with the bag of school tools of his daughter under his arm.
With hit men and Union bureaucrats who sell out our struggles and defend the interests of the employers and not of the workers, we cannot fight a minute more. That all of them go to work! Hands of the State, Government, their ministries off the trade unions and workers organizations! Out with hoodlums, policemen working extra hours inside our unions!

The oil workers Union bureaucracy has long ago sold out the Union to the oil companies and the bosses’ government. Quickly, the same justice, the same politicians and bosses from behind, came out to detain their agents that had made the "dirty work" for them. Indeed, they used them to kill workers and betray the workers, so they paid them to do the "dirty work". The same judges and prosecutors, who tortured the oil workers after the heroic struggle of 2006, think now that they have the right to "provide justice". Enough of lying! The area had been “cleared” (that is, the police had “disappeared” from the scene) beforehand; the weapons were recognized by the same judges, prosecutors and police who now enter homes with a warrant. They have no legitimacy to arrest anyone, and much less to do justice. They are the same judges and prosecutors that have tortured for years and terrorized since 2006 the people of Las Heras, and still have them with the possibility looming on their heads of going to prison every day, accused for the "crime" of fighting against the wage tax. Here the first ones which must be prisoners are the directors of the imperialist companies, the bosses’ politicians and judges and police that liberated the area so that the thugs could kill Reynaldo.
Union leaders were put there by the workers and have to be thrown out by the workers. We put them, so we workers judge them and punish them for killing our comrades. Here only a working class Commission of inquiry will make justice with right to judge and punish the murderer of Reynaldo, which should be headed by his family, which is now destroyed, and rank and file delegates voted and mandated by the workers of the companies.
Oil workers and the workers of the UOCRA should lead a single fight without millionaire bureaucrats or gunmen. That's the way to defend our unions, even to remove Vidal from the hands of the bosses’ justice, who always protected him and will protect him, to put it before the justice of the workers, so they are who judge him and punish him, and he shall have to explain there why he used guns to kill workers, including using police officers of the Buenos Aires Police as bodyguards. Vidal must explain there where he got the millions of pesos that he had in his house. And he must say the names of the thugs that pulled the trigger against the construction workers. The workers will do justice with Vidal and not the judges who always saved him.

"STRUGGLE BETWEEN TRADE UNION FRACTIONS"? DO NOT LIE ANYMORE!
THE THUGS PAID BY THE OIL COMPANIES CLEARED THE AREA SO THAT THE UNION HIT MEN SHOOT COLD BLOOD THE WORKERS THAT WERE DEMANDING THEIR JOBS BACK!

These are the facts. So things are. When the Buenos Aires police killed Kostequi and Santillan in 2001, they said that it was a fight between the piqueteros themselves, who were armed, though a footage showed how the police savagely killed young people fighting for bread and work.

Days ago in the SIDERAR enterprise of steel industry in San Nicolás, province of Buenos Aires, Techint bosses fired 600 workers with the agreement of the UOCRA (they had been contracted as construction workers though they were working as steel workers, NT). The bosses sought to divide them from the rest of the iron and steel workers and punish them all. The workers did not accept the dismissal, voted for a strike and the bureaucracy of the UOCRA sent 100 thugs to break the strike. Both the construction workers and the steel workers fought united and kicked off the bullies of the bosses and the bureaucracy of the UOCRA, which on the other hand, none was a construction worker. So it is necessary to fight in Santa Cruz.

We are all oil workers! Today we are all murdered Reynaldo, because he asked for Justice and a decent job! Thus our unit cry is: judgment and punishment for the murderers of Reynaldo! The working class does not stain its hands with workers’ blood. Out of the Union the thugs of the union bureaucracy!

ALREADY THERE CANNOT BE ANY MORE DOUBTS OR SILENCE, as is the attitude of all trade union slates and trade union leaders, including the left all over Argentina. They are hiding a new Mariano Ferreyra, murdered by the "Pedraza" of Santa Cruz, a Kirchnerite bureaucrat as is Vidal.
As we all know and everyone of them wants to hide is that day workers went to the Town Hall demanding work, that the municipality do not close the works and therefore, dismissed workers of the UOCRA who worked in the construction of the housing project of the oil Union, marched to ask their companions of the oil Union not to be fired from their jobs.
How is it that a trade union of oil workers is to leave unemployed, in the street, their comrade construction workers? Unions are to prevent layoffs, not to dismiss workers. Those are not trade union officials. That is an employer trade union bureaucracy, only thinking about business... And yet, to hide that there is a new Mariano Ferreyra all the national media continue to insist on a "clash between Trade Union fractions". They are accomplices of assassins of workers because in fact they are covering the directories of oil companies who armed them.
The infamous bureaucracy of the UOCRA of Salazar and his gunmen embezzled by all enterprises of Santa Cruz, are silent, they play the fool because they also are ready to kill workers when the workers rise up. Say it clearly: the trade union leaders are to defend the workers and not to kill them. Reynaldo is the son, brother, cousin, of all the workers. He is a relative of us. His murder cannot remain unpunished. What happened to him can happen to any comrade who makes a claim. We can not look the other side. By being betrayed by Union bureaucrats that kill workers, fellow fighters in 2006 which fought against the wage tax were isolated from the rest of the class. They were taken hostage of the bosses and the State for fighting against the wage tax. That is why we could not free ourselves from that infamous robbery to our meager wages. Stop torturing! Immediate and unconditional release of Las Heras oil workers who were jailed and tortured in 2006 and then condemned to life imprisonment!

Thanks to the bureaucracy, today a serious defeat has been inflicted to the oil workers and all the workers of Santa Cruz. The forces to fight against the attack on the workers, to get decent jobs, to end the wage tax, have been totally weakened. From the rank and file, with assemblies, conquering new delegates with mandate, THE UNITY OF THE WORKERS RANKS SHOULD BE RECOMPOSED!

IT IS HIGH TIME FOR A WORKER JUSTICE IN THIS COUNTRY SO THAT THE POWERFUL AND THEIR HENCHMEN PAY FOR THEIR MISDEEDS!

For a general provincial strike of oil and UOCRA workers and of all unions to win justice and punishment against all the murderers of Reynaldo Vargas! These are, as it has already been demonstrated, first, the oil companies and the Government which have armed to the teeth and financed with millions of pesos the treacherous Trade Union bureaucrats and their thugs so they discipline, as insider police, the labor movement.
It will not be the Justice of the bosses, torturers of workmen, who use to go on imprisoning the best worker fighters in the region, which will make justice for comrade Reynaldo Vargas.

The oil Union and the UOCRA in the hands of thugs who terrorize workers going out to fight in the province are not today an able instrument for the workers to defend their conquests. Out with the trade union bureaucracy of the UOCRA and oil union, their henchmen and strikebreakers, armed by the bosses, the transnational oil companies and the bosses’ politicians!
Open the way to the rank and file! Open the way to the base delegates!
In defense of unions: no to the state intervention! Those already assumes the direction of the oil unions and the UOCRA the assemblies of base delegates with mandate, and organize the common struggle for decent work, against job insecurity, against the wage tax, in the same way that the workers struggled in 2006 in Las Heras! We are all oil workers; we are all workers of the UOCRA!

We must set up committees of self-defense against bullies armed by the employers to discipline the workers!
Working-class keeps putting its martyrs and the employers put Trade Union bureaucrats and gunmen armed to the teeth to kill workers, while their judges have jailed and condemned to life imprisonment the workers for their fighting.
Videlista Justice and the torturer judges are not going to bring justice. For an independent Worker Committee voted by the rank and file, with delegates from company by company, of the UOCRA and oil workers, teachers, municipal civil servants, employees of the retailers and fast-food chains, miners of Rio Turbio, to stand upright, to judge and punish the murderers of Reynaldo Vargas, whoever they be!
The workers know very well who work in the works and oil wells. And we also know very well who are armed to the teeth defending the bribes of the employers that pay them good money so they betray the strikes. We never see them in the workplaces.
Enough lying! Open the way to the unity of the oil workers, the UOCRA and all Santa Cruz workers! For a General strike to seek truth, and prosecute and punish the murderers of Reynaldo Vargas and to initiate a common struggle of all the trade unions against the wage tax and against job insecurity. Against the collective bargaining of hunger: 50% wage increase, indexed every month according to the cost of living.
The oil companies are swimming in deep waters of profit. That is why they can embezzle with million their servants in our unions. They have taken away hundreds of billions of dollars from the privatization of state assets (as that of the YPF) when the national government of Menem and provincial government of Kirchner in the ' 90s.
It is necessary to defend the oil Union of any intervention and so the first point is: trial and punishment for the murderers of Reynaldo! Plan of provincial struggle! A single class, a single claim, a single fight! Out the gendarmerie of Santa Cruz! Enough of militarizing the province to defend the profits of oil companies and the bosses’ politicians!
We are facing a tragedy. And now the bosses come with their gendarmes to defeat the oil workers and the construction workers of the province. That is why the murder of Reynaldo must not remain unpunished or fall into oblivion. The ideological authors of this murder must be market with hot iron.
A crime against the working class cannot be silenced or forgotten. The warders and gunmen of the Union bureaucracy of the imperialist oil companies, the Government of Peralta and Cristina Kirchner, were who killed comrade Reynaldo Vargas. With the oil companies and Cristina the same Vidal traveled to Houston, USA, to meet the staff of oil companies to search machinery and investment to bring to Patagonia and so continue stealing oil from Argentines. The oil Union thugs are the bureaucracy of Repsol, Exxon, Chevron, Panamerican and big imperialist oil!

WE HAVE PLENTY OF REASONS FOR RECOVERING THE UNITY OF THE WORKERS BECAUSE WE HAVE PLENTY OF REASONS TO FIGHT

We have to recompose the unity of workers! Today we are all oil workers! Today we are all construction workers! Today we are all the family of Reynaldo!
Let’s unite together in order to fight!
Down with the wage tax! The tax should be paid by the transnational and the local bosses who earn fortunes!
No dismissals!
Jobs for all!
For a single national collective bargaining for all the labor movement!
50% wage increases with monthly adjustment according to the cost of living!
Plan of provincial struggle and general strike!
The oil Union should defend itself by a strike and fighting for the trial and punishment to the direct assassins and the masterminds of the death of comrade Reynaldo Vargas!
It defends itself struggling as for the immediate and unconditional acquittal of Las Heras condemned oil workers for fighting against the wage tax in 2006.
The workers of the UOCRA must defend their jobs and their salary. It has been already proved that long ago Salazar gave them in. The bureaucracy of the UOCRA is under orders from Gerardo Martinez that yesterday worked for the military intelligence service at the time of the dictatorship, and today for Cristina Kirchner, who organizes her bands to attack workers who confront her Government in Santa Cruz.

Killing Reynaldo was a favor of gold that Vidal made to the employers and the Government. This destroyed from inside the Santa Cruz labor movement so that they could passes their plan of dismissals, suspensions, loss of collective bargain gains and wage tax which the employer seeks to deepen before the fall of the oil price.
It is clear that this attack does not stop with Vidal and his thugs killing workers. For his responsibility, it has been divided and destroyed the working family of Caleta Olivia, Santa Cruz and throughout the country. The father of Reynaldo Vargas is an oil worker. A group of thugs paid by the MNCs have destroyed the labor movement and thus have given away our organizations.

When a Prosecutor (Nisman, NT) dies, a millionaire parasite with secret accounts, supervised by the intelligence services, they want to ignite the Argentina, seeking 'justice'. They kill a worker, with precise instructions by employers who assembled their gunmen on unions... and there is only a cloak of silence, forgetfulness and cover-up. There will be no oblivion, forgiveness, or impunity!

Open the way to the worker democracy! Open the way to direct democracy! For rank and file assemblies! Let's vote mandated delegates that take over the Union, the claims and the struggle of the workers!
