Caleta Olivia, Santa Cruz, Argentinean Patagonia:
Reynaldo Vargas, a young construction worker, was murdered by the gangsters under the orders of the oil union bureaucracy of Vidal

The government of Peralta (Santa Cruz province governor, NT), President CF Kirchner and the imperialist oil companies that pay the hit men of the union bureaucracies…

Are responsible for this crime against the working class!

Vidal is the new “Pedraza” of Cristina! (1)
Reynaldo Vargas is a new Mariano Ferreyra!

For worker and people’s courts to put on trial and punish all those responsible for the murder of Reynaldo!

Down with the union bureaucracy and their murderous hound-dogs who under the command of Peralta and Cristina Kirchner defend the interests and the profits of the oil corporations!Last Thursday, April 9, Patagonia shivered again when knowing that Reynaldo Vargas, 23, young construction worker coming from a very poor Bolivian family, had been murdered. Reynaldo’s family had come to Argentinean Patagonia trying to find a decent life. He was abated by some bullets shot by the hit-men to the service of the oil workers union under the command of the Kirchnerista union bureaucracy of Vidal.
Reynaldo was taking part in a demonstration in the oil town and port of Caleta Olivia together with a group of construction workers claiming for jobs at the gates of the Town Hall. At the same time, another group of recently dismissed construction workers were entering Caleta, where the main site of the oil workers union in the Northern Strip of Santa Cruz has its building. They were coming from the oil workers union site in (some miles farthest to the east) Pico Truncado, where they had been persuaded to disperse their demonstration with shots to the air by other bureaucrats. (The reason they claimed before the oil workers union is that they are actually working as oil workers though the companies pay them as masons with the –very much lower- wages established by the UOCRA, the construction union. NT). This second group wanted to make an “escrache” (that is, a shouting and egg hurling kind of popular denounce, NT) to Peralta, the Governor, who was in an electoral campaign rally in Caleta.
In that way they converged with the group where Reynaldo was and all together went to the oil workers Union building.   There a large group of hitmen of Vidal’s –armed to the teeth- were waiting for them, and received with shots at short range the column of UOCRA workers that were claiming for their jobs.
Reynaldo fell dead. Two of the shots entered his chest; one perforated his lung, the other went across the lung and destroyed his spine, causing him an instant death.
He was murdered by the gunmen of the oil union bureaucracy of Vidal, the new “Pedraza” of Cristina Kirchner;. Down with the union bureaucracy and its murderous hound-dogs that defend the interests and the profits of the imperialist oil companies under the command of Governor Peralta and (President) Cristina Kirchner!
Five workers more were wounded and Bonifacio Barrera, 25, is still laying in a hospital bed, out of death peril but with serious wounds.

The leadership of UOCRA in the North of Santa Cruz, which responds to the line of National UOCRA chief Gerardo Martínez (who was an agent provocateur under the 1970’s military dictatorship, NT), left the workers to their fate, washed its hands before the dismissals of the 45 comrades and after that sent them to protest before the oil workers union (the two unions are entangled in a feud, NT) where they were received with a rain of bullets while the police “was liberating” the zone so that the massacre could take place, in the same way it acted in the Ferrocarril Roca outskirts (a railway area in the Great Buenos Aires NT) when Pedraza murdered Mariano Ferreyra.

Argentina after
September 28th strike (2014)

Thus the murderous bureaucracy of Vidal imposes and guarantees the plans of the imperialist oil companies, which have declared an all-out war to the world oil workers, and laid off more that 100,000 of them following the lowering of the oil prices: by killing workers at short range and chastising the rest so that they do not dare demand what is their right. Since many months ago all of the, the oil union bureaucracy, the government through its Ministry of labor and the Big Oil corporations are discussing how to liquidate the collective bargain clauses they have signed and to destroy all the gains of the workers, so that the latter are who pay for the costs of the lower prices of oil.

For this they maintain condemned the comrades of Las Heras and try to terrorize lthe whole of the oil workers and the workers all over Patagonis with this murder. The truth is that the cost of living in the region and the theft to the workers’ wages in the region, while the oil companies continue sacking the riches and amassing huge fortunes, won’t be endured for long. In the hands of the union bureaucracy, the governments (both provincial and national ones) want to terrorize the oil workers -who have just featured a strong strike imposed by the Rank and file on March 31- with their fusillades. This is the “social peace” that Vidal and the oil union bureaucracy speak about: death for the workers and huge profits for the imperialist oil corporations. That’s why they have attacked the UOCRA workers that were demanding jobs. The bureaucrats have to prevent any spark of fighting that could reignite the major struggles of 2006 when to the cry of “WE ARE ALL OIL WORKERS”;  oil workers, UOCRA and unemployed workers fought united.
The murder of Reynaldo is an attack to the whole labor movement. Thus acts the bourgeois State under the command of the MNCs that steal our oil in Vaca Muerta (a shale basin in Patagonia, NT) through the Chevron, which pay the gunmen of the rotten union bureaucracy to soot the workers. Thus answers the government and the bosses when we workers go to the streets to fight against the lay-offs and for a decent job or housing. Meanwhile, amidst the electoral pageantry the bosses’ politicians “discuss their differences”, but all of them strongly agree in a single point: the necessity of attacking the working class in order to keep secure their business and their properties.

Thus govern the K (Kichnerite faithful, NT) in Patagonia (4 southern provinces that are full of oil, gas and other underground riches, NT)to sell-out al the riches to the imperialist oil companies: by militarizing and repressing like Videla (= the 70’s dictatorship) as in Las Heras in 2006; through their Videlista justices letting free murderous officials like Varizat (a vice governor who threw his SUV over a group of striking teachers in 2007) while condemning to life imprisonment the oil workers of Las Heras, jailing and beating the workers of ATE (the civil servants union) with the gendarmerie (frontier forces), the GEOP (special shock forces) and the murderous cops controlling territory and torturing common people (even women, children and elders, NT) under the command of the federal prosecutors; plus the paid gun men of the union bureaucracy that murders workers.

Immediately after the events, the government sent hundreds of gendarmerie troops to control all the routes from Caleta Olivia to Las Heras, confiscating very vehicle in five different checkpoints. It is a routine policy by the government of the imperialist oil companies in the territory of the Kirchners (the Kirchners’ clan of oligarchs come from Santa Cruz, where they have been governors and ministers, and have most of their real estate properties, including hotels, mines, etc. NT), to keep at by and terrorize the workers and to prevent the hatred of the most exploited strips of the labor movement from taking the justice in their own hands around the murder of the comrade by the damned union bureaucracy of Vidal with the collaboration of the rotten bureaucracy of the UOCRA of informer Gerardo Martinez. Out with the murderous gendarmerie of the North of Santa Cruz! For self defense committees of the fighting workers and the worker organizations in order to defend us from the gun men of the union bureaucracies, the gendarmerie and the murderous cops!

Vidal’s union bureaucracy, which scabbed the general strike of March 31, and from the beginning was silent and accomplice of the condemnation of the Las Heras comrades, exposed itself as a bunch of scoundrels in February 2014 when, after the strike of the oil workers of BACCSA (during which five oil workers –two members of the directive Board of the union plus one delegate and two base workers- were jailed) Vidal put distance from the detained workers, calling them “infiltrated elements” and abandoning them to their fate.
Vidal of the oil union bureaucracy murders the Young worker R. Vargas; Pedraza of the Unión Ferroviaria (Rail workers Union) murdered Mariano Ferreyra; Pignianelli, an agent of the military dictatorship -who has been recently saluted with an ovation by Cristina Kirchner and the Frente Para la Victoria (Kirchnerite Coalition) pre candidates to presidency (Scioli and Randazzo) in a official celebration- attacks and beats the LEAR fighting workers with his gun men from the Green Slate of the SMATA (automotive workers union); Gerardo Martinez, Secretary General (=Union President) of the UOCRA, a former member of the intelligence services of the infamous 601 Battalion (one of the most genocidal divisions of the army in the last dictatorship) won’t doubt -as he has never doubted- to attack the workers before any attempt from them to stand up. We have alredy seen how his gun men attacked the teachers and civil servants in Rio Turbio in 2011, the workers of the Sindicato de Comercio (Clarks and Retailers’ Workers Union) and also to the workers of construction sites that were affiliated to the rival union, SITRAIC. All these gangsters are the murderous union bureaucracy of Kirchner and the slave owning bosses!

In Patagonia, this union bureaucracy can “give classes” on how to best attacking the working class rank and file. This situation we oil workers have already lived in 2006 when to the cry “We are all oil workers!” we unified all our forces, both those affiliated to the oil workers union with those affiliated to the UOCRA, in a large strike and fighting, with pickets, and direct democracy, voting for our speakers and disavowing the treacherous bureaucracy. It was there when “Chaco” Segovia, then oil workers union chief, gave to the oil companies and the authorities the “black lists” with the names of the activist workers so they could be jailed. Also Vidal is the same one that refused to call to a strike on December 12 2013 when 12 comrades were condemned to ife imprisonment and long terms in jail.

At the same time, Salazar, a member of the leadership in UOCRA Santa Cruz, not only was accomplice in the dismissal of the 45 construction comrades by the contractor ADA SRL, but he also prevented the call for a strike of Mourning and Fighting by all the workers in Santa Cruz and the whole country for accompanying the family of the murdered comrade Reynaldo and beginning a plan of struggle for our demands; he only declared a day of holiday, though the workers of the UOCRA had all the same to mark in the card their enter and exit from the workplace; in that way he guaranteed that nobody  could mobilize to Caleta Olivia, except for his most reliable cronies. Down with the union bureaucracy and its paid hit men!

We cannot expect justice from the bosses, because the bosses’ justice only prosecutes and condemns the workers that fight for their demands, as it did to the comrade oil workers of Las Heras, to those of BACCSA and is doing to the more than 7000 prosecuted workers and the political prisoners that are in Argentina today. Hands off, bosses’ justices, prosecutors and intelligence services under the command of the oil companies! For worker and people’s courts to send to judge and punish all the responsible for repressing and murdering the workers!
We need to conquer Unified Self defense Committees!
We workers have to re found our organizations from the bottom to the top!

The murderous activity of the oil workers union and the continuous militarization that we endure today have as a single objective: to terrorize the forces of the workers that seek to stand up face the unmerciful attack that the imperialist MNCs have launched in this “Argentina maquila”.
The government od Cristina Kirchner, the anti-worker and reactionary “opposition” -which through the national congresswoman for Santa Cruz, Elsa Alvarez, called to “impose an exemplary condemn against the oil workers of Las Heras so nobody thinks any more in going out to fight as in 2006”(sic)- and all the rest of bosses’ politicians HAVE THEIR HANDS SOAKED IN WORKERS’ BLOOD. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! THE WORKERS AND EXPLOITES OF THIS “ARGENTINA MAQUILA” HAVE TO STAND UP ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Reynaldo Vargas is a new Mariano Ferreyra, murdered by the new “Pedraza” of Cristina Kirchner, Vidal. Reynaldo is a new martyr of all the working class. The fight for getting justice for the murdered comrade must be taken in its hands by all the workers in the country and by their fighting organizations, so that we can stop the hand of the government of Cristina Kirchners and the gun men of the bureaucracies paid by the MNCs.
As say the comrades of the Commission of Condemned Workers, their Relatives and Friends of ls Heras: It is urgent to put in place right now a national coordinator body of all the workers condemned and prosecuted and the relatives of the youth murdered by the damned cops!
WORKERS DO NOT KILL COPS! THOUGH THE COPS DO NOT TIRE OF KILLING WORKERS AND KEEPING SAFE THEIR WARDENS INSIDE THE LABOR MOVEMENT, THE UNION BUREAUCRACY!

The workers’ rank and file demonstrated in the general strike on March 31 that there are enough forces and will to fight; however the left parties united in the FIT are going on with their electoral drunkenness: they get together for deciding the candidates for presidency, provincial governors and congressional seats, but divide us when we have to fight. We the workers and exploited that are murdered like dogs, while it continues looming on the heads of the Las Heras comrades the condemn to life imprisonment ant long terms of jail, the comrades of Corral de Bustos who are still rotting in the jails of the Kirchners, 7000 of the best worker fighters in the country being prosecuted… all of us need unity for fighting. What is the FIT waiting for? What is the FIT waiting for that it does not put its candidacies to the service of the persecuted, dismissed and condemned workers and their families? The FIT must break its submission to the infamous regime of this “democracy for the rich” and its institutions, it must put all its forces to the service of the struggle of the workers.

Stop killing workers! Stop massacring Young workers!
We must take to the streets!
The Committee for the Absolution of the comrade oil workers of Las Heras in Buenos aires must break with the current paralysis and put itself to the head of a call for:
Delegations from all the worker organizations must be voted to go right now to Caleta Olivia and prepare together a rally to the Casa de la Provincia de Santa Cruz (the offices of the representation of the province of Santa Cruz, NT) in Buenos Aires City demanding the absolution for the oil workers of Las Heras and Justice for Reynaldo Vargas!
We need right now to conquer a Workers’ Emergency Congress!
We need to retake the way that we were walking in Las Heras 2006! We are all oil workers!
A single class, a single fight!
An injury to one is an injury to all!
