FOR THE INTERNATIONAL UNITY OF THE WORLD WORKING CLASS STRUGGLES

  • In Syria and Egypt a counterrevolutionary counteroffensive has started by imperialism and its agent the native bourgeoisie.
  • With heroic combats the revolutionary processes in Egypt, Syria, Yemen and Tunisia resist and defend themselves… meanwhile the indomitable Libyan militias neither give in their weapons nor surrender to the NTC of Obama and Sarkozy. THESE COMBATS MUST NOT BE LEFT ISOLATED!

Here we edit this supplement of the International Workers Organizer of the FLTI with the declarations on Syria, the Egypt and Tunisia manifesto, giving account of the tough fights by the exploited of the North of Africa and their revolutions, which face an imperialist counteroffensive and brutal attacks aiming to stop the revolutionary offensive that the masses of the region started in early 2011.
A momentary reflux of the offensive fights of the European working class was the starter for this counterrevolutionary offensive of imperialism and its lackeys, the native bourgeoisies, in the streets of Homs (Syria), El Cairo (Egypt), Tunisia, Yemen, etc.
It is about understanding the international character of these combats. The conjunctural reflux of the European working class, permanently driven to dead ends in their huge and heroic combats against the imperialist bankers by their traitorous leaderships -agents of the Maastricht imperialist powers-, leave the imperialist hands relatively free to address its counterattack against the exploited of the North of Africa and Middle East

The Greek working class has already staged its 15th general strike. In Spain, the state workers have to get out of their offices every day and march to be able to collect their salary. There are already chronic fights, which wear down the masses. Big capital speaks the language of crisis. It states that workers must be fired, their wages slashed, their pensions liquidated, in a word they “must” pay with their “blood, sweat and tears” for up to the last euro or dollar of the debt that the imperialist pirates and bankers imposed to them. They have thrown their entire crisis over the working class. They say to every worker that wants to fight “stop your fight or you will be fired”. The recession hits and Big capital, try to discipline the exploited with it.

The reformist leaderships beg for mercy. They use the working class and their fights to pressure the bosses to “stop the attack”, to negotiate it, etc. This dead end of the impotent economical fights, to which the European working class was driven by their traitorous leaderships, is what allows imperialism to start this counteroffensive on the whole North of Africa, in Egypt, but above all, in Syria, where imperialism is concentrating their forces to chastise the masses.

The “dirty work” is being performed by his agent Al-Assad, armed to the teeth by Putin and Hu Hintao, the lackeys of Merkel and Obama. The Arab League and the NSC, quartered comfortably in Qatar, has left Al-Assad’s hands free to slaughter the upraised masses at will.

The FLTI Trotskyist have insisted that the revolutionary combats of Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, etc. are not only defined throughout this chain of revolutions that have started in the region, but also in the streets of Rome, Madrid, Washington, Berlin, etc. But despite the conjunctural situation, and the imperialist bourgeois counterattack, the masses have stuck themselves with very hard combats, as we have seen in Syria, Egypt and Tunisia, and also in Libya, where the indomitable masses of there don’t give in their weapons.
But these combats, that for moments transform themselves in hard and stubborn resistance, as today in Syria, have to backtrack because of the treasons of the leaderships. The European working class has been driven away from the only way of fighting with which it can start giving steps toward its victory, i.e. from openly confronting the European government and the autocratic regimes of the international finance capital oligarchy up to their defeat; that is, the European Working class has been deviated from fighting as in Egypt, Libya or Tunisia. This would also be talking the language of the crisis, but for the capitalist to pay for it. This would be raising the battle cry of “Expropriate the bankers!” as the workers that besiege Wall Street state. This would be starting an offensive against the government that threw the attack on the masses’ shoulders, and an all-out war against the exploiters.
The leaderships tie the hands to the masses so that they neither fight nor deepen a worldwide counteroffensive to crush the imperialist beast. That is what the treason of the leadership means, as they have been bought by Big Capital, and that means also the need each time more urgent of founding anew the IV International of 1938.

The sooner the North-American working class gets into combat, and the European working class breaks the fence to their combat, imposed by the worker bureaucracies and aristocracies and the social-imperialist parties, the closer a new victory of the exploited of Maghreb and Middle East will be.
The Greek working class, in face of a new and higher attack, is back to the combat with a general strike. There were more than 15 general strikes. In the previous one, the workers tried to take over the parliament and defeat the Papandreou government in the streets. That was fighting like in Egypt and defeating Papandreou as De la Rua was defeated in the Argentinean revolution of 2001.

The Greek Communist Party, with 5000 hooligans and thugs armed with sticks prevented that revolutionary mass action. This is the role of the bureaucracy, the worker aristocracy and the social-imperialist parties.
The government that came after that is another CEO of the bankers, which keeps attacking daily –as yesterday Karamanlis and Papandreou did- the Greek working class: Lucas Papademos government, which has at its head a member of the Board of Directors of J.P.Morgan Chase Bank in USA, to which the Greek financial capital is associated, as a minor partner.

The divisions imposed to the European working class by the social-imperialist parties can lead dangerously to desperation the working class and even the ruined petit bourgeoisie, causing the latter turn to the ultra-right. In the streets of Greece the German flags are burnt down, in a moment that the Greek working class should be calling the German proletariat to fight together and rise up against Maastricht’s Europe of the imperialist powers in bankruptcy, against “Iron lady Merkel”, the City of London and the Fifth French Republic butchers.

There were plenty of conditions to conquer the unity of the European working class. If the unity wasn’t accomplished it was thanks to the treason of the reformists, which is saving Maastricht’s Imperialist Europe, submitting the working class and making it pay for the crisis of the capitalists.
With more crisis and more attacks to the exploited, the working class is paying for the treason of their leaderships, which undo at each step what the masses build in their fight.

The handicap that imperialism and the bourgeoisie have is, then, the traitorous leadership that the proletariat has at its head, leaders that not only don’t coordinate or centralize the offensive of the exploited worldwide, but also, as nurses for the sake of Capital in bankruptcy, dedicate themselves to encircle and isolate every revolutionary process for it to be crushed country by country, as they have done before in Madagascar, a thousand and one times in Greece, and as they do now, silencing the heroic revolutionary revolts of the Chinese masses, the Chilean workers and youth’s combats, etc.
The reformists have gathered together their strengths to support Capital in bankruptcy. Maastricht is an example of that. Trying to direct the struggle of the European working class to economic pressure fights, in the middle of the catastrophe that the imperialist bankers have imposed to the world, is an open treason.
Every worker knows -as the masses in the North of Africa and Middle East understood- that in the middle of the imperialist crack it is no longer possible to fight for the raise of the wage, for being able to eat and have a job, without defeating the autocracies and the political regimes representative of Big Capital.
Without revolutionary victories of the working class there isn’t and won’t be any chance of stopping the attack of capitalism, that has saved the earnings of the bankers and sent the working class of the imperialist potencies to live in equal or worst conditions that their class brothers and sisters of the colonial and semi-colonial world.
The European reformist left holds the European Union of the imperialist autocracies, the Bourbons, the “Iron lady” of the Junkers’ regime in Germany, the Fifth French Republic butchers, among others. They want to make the workers believe that with this ravenous lions it is possible to negotiate the “mitigation” of the attack. It is like negotiating with a fox that he doesn’t eat the chickens.

Germany, the power that emerges as “victorious” in the European economic crack, refuses to pay a single cent of the crisis of the bankrupt imperialist powers. Even more, in face of the European recession, the barons of the German industry seek to advance in disputing even EEUU zones of influence in Latin America and Asia, as Vietnam or Indonesia.
Iron fist in Europe and offensive for the influence zones is the position of the German imperialism, while it impulses that the “defeated” potencies pay for the economical crack.
The European working class is drawing rich experiences from the huge efforts and the vigor that it has been showing from 2008 until today. Each decisive fight that it waged was fresh air and downwind for the fight of the oppressed peoples and the semi-colonial world.
The masses in the North of Africa and Middle East, as we see in Syria, Egypt, etc., and in the uprisings of the super exploited masses of the Chinese “maquilas” (sweatshops) in Asia, support the next waves of the European, United States and Japanese workers’ offensive. Yet they do it at the price of huge losses, massacres and unforeseen sufferings.

Today in Syria, that true occupation army on behalf of imperialism, under the command of Al-Assad, is bombing and slaughtering the worker neighborhoods of Homs, Damascus, Hama, etc., as Obama did with his “Cast Lead” operation in Gaza, or as the Nazis did in the Warsaw ghetto in the 2WW, to give just a few examples of big counterrevolutionary actions.
Today in Syria imperialism wants to give a lesson to the world proletariat. We cannot allow it! All the forces of the world working class to break the fence of Syria and stop the massacre aimed to smash the world proletariat vanguard!
From Libya, Egypt and Tunisia we must put in place internationalist worker brigades to get into combat in Syria against murderous Al-Assad army!
Break the submission of the European working class to the Maastricht Treaty of the Imperialist Powers!

The only chance of containing the attack in Europe is with a coordinated and centralized general strike, with the battle cry of “Down with the Maastricht of the European Imperialist powers! Expropriation of the bankers! Disarm their armies and shock forces to be able to fight as in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya for the bread, for jobs and for the defense of every last bit of conquest that is being stripped from the European workers!”

In USA, the working class seeks to arise. In New York, Oakland and Oregon the “outraged” (“Occupy…”; “We are the 99%”) movement develops. From Oakland there was a call to the general strike in May 1st. There the motion can be stated of “Let’s paralyze all the docks from Europe to USA so that no weapon or ammo is shipped to support the murderous Al Assad army, but guaranteeing, at the same time, that the weapons and food arrive to the masses that resist heroically the counterrevolutionary hits of the lackey of imperialism Al Assad government”
The Russian working class has just started to rise against Putin, the slaughterer of the Chechen, Balkan and Caucasian masses. The Chinese masses continue to be massacred, yet they resist and fight against the slavery of the hated regime of the Chinese mandarins and their president Hu Jintao. There are the forces to stop the machinery of the imperialist bourgeois front that holds, from Russia, China, USA and Europe this counterrevolutionary counteroffensive recently initiated.

The working classes haven’t got the leadership that they deserve. Capitalism survives its life span with imperialism buying the worker bureaucracy and aristocracy and their parties and organizations. The crisis of leadership grows, but here and there the energy of the masses shows that it has not been depleted: Entirely contrariwise, at each step of these combats, the fence of reformism is broken by the offensive of the masses. So reformism wallows, explodes and can no longer live peacefully. The first tendencies to the international centralization of the exploited has arisen in Tokyo, Chile, Colombia, the “outraged” of Wall Street and Madrid and the Greek working class, which at each combat they rise the flags of “we must combat like in Egypt”

Under these conditions, the fight for the regrouping of the revolutionary organizations and the healthy forces of the Trotskyist movement has become an immediate need. We know about the huge delay of the Trotskyist forces and the Fourth International in their coming to the masses.
Our world party was destroyed, defeated and handed out by the renegades of Trotskyism to the reactionaries, to Stalinism and the social democracy.

But the conservative parties of the past will be less able to keep manipulating the world working class each time. These combats, the wars and the crisis of the world capitalism create the conditions to saw the floor under the feet of the traitors, and open a path toward the masses for the fighters of the Fourth International.
A new historical period has been opened since 2007-2008, that of the crisis of the world capitalism. The speed race has started to arise and re-found the Fourth International against the action of the traitorous leaderships that at each step undo what the masses build in their combat.

The masses and their heroic combats make this task easier. The time for “counter-reformism” and the tendency to the international unity in the proletarian fighting has started. The forces to re-found our world party are here: they have set Tottenham under fire, they are fencing Wall Street, they rise up in Nigeria, they start rebelling and facing the murderers of Hu Jintao and his army that are under the command of the transnational companies and imperialism, and they start fighting again in the Red Square in Russia, this time against murderer Putin, that far away from being a new “Tsar” is nothing else than a “Rasputin”, a paid agent of the German Junkers regime of “Iron Lady Merkel”

The forces to re-found the IV International are fighting today in the bleeding Syrian worker neighborhoods. These are the forces to rely on to build and regroup the healthy forces of the international Trotskyist movement and conquer a revolutionary leadership to organize the struggle of the masses. The FLTI is nothing else that a fulcrum to set the levers for all the world proletarian fighters that regroup, arise and conquer the conditions and the program for the victory, which is no other than the Transitional Program of the Fourth International and the struggle for the worldwide socialist revolution.

International Executive Committee of the FLTI.
