Argentina
Hundreds of worker organizations of Argentina and the world are endorsing and signing this letter from Las Heras workers to break the fence imposed on the fight against the fake charges fabricated by the TNCs, their government, and justice that want to take them to trial. These comrades together with the oil workers of Las Heras and their families in 2006 were the first ones who rose against the tax on salary, better labour conditions and for the demand “equal work, for equal salary”. They are the judges and boss justice that defend the interests of the big TNCs that already condemned them to be three years in prison where they were tortured at the videlist style, persecuted their families and keep Las Heras militarized. May day is near and thousands of workers of Argentina and the world keep fighting for their freedom, they suffered in the jails… the capital and imperialism seek hostages to prevent the exploited from fighting for our rights. They deserve we claim what the martyrs of Chicago said in 1886 in front their executioners: “OUR DEFENSE IS YOUR ACCUSATION, OUR SUPPOSED CRIMES ARE YOUR HISTORY”…
09-04-2013 To the worker and popular organizations in Argentina We came to Buenos Aires again from Las Heras, a city located far away in La Patagonia like oil and construction workers chased by the oil companies, their justice, and their government. We have shared the scenario with hundred of organizations and worker fighters chased like us by the “the justice of bosses”. We are here to give our solidarity to the Garrahan workers under prosecution and judged for the crime of defending the public hospital and their rights as workers. On April 8, we were able to greet all the comrades chased for fighting in a unitary public act. We only can be thankful for the huge solidarity with all the chased fighters. We already know that when we stay in front of the judge, that is, in front of our executioners, we will not be alone as we have been during the three years we were in jail with our families under threat as the worst epoch of the military dictatorship. We are part of a fight of all the Argentinean workers under threat of losing their freedom for the crime of being workers and fighting for their rights. We started to receive from Argentina and at international level a huge solidarity of comrades that belong to different worker organizations. We have been more than three years in jail for the only crime of being at the head of the struggle with the demand for equal work, for equal payment for all, no more tax on the salary! A tax that robbed and robs the Argentinean working class’ salary to pay the parasites that as we have seen they were unable to stop the floods, the trains derailment where the worker people die. Today we are accused, denigrated, slandered and they try to break our fighting will; all of this on the part of the boss judges, politicians and their friends, for the crime of fighting for the worker demands and preventing our leaders from going to jail like the more than 6500 fighters are going to be in prison for be at the head of the demands of the working class’ fights. We were three years in prison, our families suffered; in our hands we don’t have blood but callosity for working. If to fight for our rights means to be guilty, we declare ourselves guilty. If to be murder is a crime, so the true killers must be in prison, that is, those who killed in the massacre of Once, Fuentealba, the massacre in the Indoamericano Park, the genocide of the dictatorship, the unemployed comrade of Las Heras “Popeye” Vargas, those who fell down on December 20…our crime is to fight for bread and in defense of our salary. Stop slander and offend Las Heras workers and their families! As the Chicago martyrs in 1886 said, as regards the coming May Day, “our defense is your accusation; our supposed crimes are your history”. The fight for “the freedom of Las Heras workers” is about it. We came here to give solidarity to the thousands worker fighters under prosecution, we are part of them. They will not divide us. It is what they are seeking, because the exploiters need to have hostages of the working class, terrorized us for us not to fight, and tormented us for us to kneel down. But on April 8, we have conquered a step forward the unity. They will not divide us! Long live the unity of the working class against the unity of the judges and bosses! |
