Egypt:
A massacre in the stadium
A new counterrevolutionary provocation of the murderous army’s officers against the masses
On February 1st, in the city of Port Said on the Mediterranean coast, a football match of the Egyptian league soccer between the local club Al Masri and the visiting team Al Ahly was developing.
3-1 was the partial score in favor of local team, who had failed to defeat the famous club of Cairo for more than 20 years. The tension was in the air (this match was rescheduled 5 times for fear of incidents) until the debacle unleashed all its fury.
The "Ultras" of Al Masr Club, with the complicity of the security forces (3,000 troops covering the match, a highly exorbitant amount for a football match in which there were thirteen thousand people), invaded the field to lynch the players and the rival fans. The slaughter and bloody terror had begun.
Fire and smoke invaded the stadium. Sticks, clubs, knives, stones and knives pounced on Al Ahly fans. Few minutes have passed of these events when in the middle of panic and despair, hundreds injured and dozens of dead people were reported inside and outside the stadium; some of them by suffocation and the others because they were beaten and stabbing.
Today we know that the dead people are over 70 and wounded over a thousand, increasing the list of martyrs of the heroic revolution in North Africa and Middle East. Only a counterrevolutionary, meditated and consciously prepared action can explain such criminal brutality. Here no one can believe the lie that such a slaughter is due to a football fans rivalry. This was prepared by the fascist gangs of Mubarak, the official caste breed of the murderer Army and the Military Junta led by Tantawi that governs the country under the orders of the butcher Obama and the Pentagon (Yankee imperialism financed 3,000 million dollars a year the Egyptian army).
Following the historical Russian Revolution’s calendar, we could define these events as a mini "July journeys", which the purpose to teach a lesson and a hard counterrevolutionary blow on specific sectors of the proletarian vanguard and combative students. A cynically trap organized by the bourgeoisie against the defenseless exploited people..
No doubt the attack had to be accurate and provoked that same day because, as it is known in Cairo and throughout Egypt, Al Ahly fans are mostly workers and students (the press consider them as "extremely radicals") and they were part of the pickets and self-defense committees in Tahrir Square a year ago faced the fascist hordes sent by President Mubarak, who then was overthrown by the revolutionary struggle of the exploited masses
This brutal and murderer event, is not an isolated case. Murders against the revolutionary Egyptian masses that face the government of the Military Junta are happening everywhere for months. They think it is the continuity of the hated regime of the overthrown Mubarak-.
However, it cannot be seen as a "national" event or an "Egyptian political crisis" as the bourgeois press tries to explain and contemptuously speaks” it is the violence of the Arab Spring". These "journalists" are blatantly lying. This attack is part of the massacres in Syria run Assad's army against the masses and the poor people. It is part of the mass killings in Bahrain in Yemen; the attacks by the TNC against Libyan militias; the violent repression against unemployed workers and Tunisian youth and the widespread massacres of the fascist - Zionist-State of Israel against the heroic Palestinian masses...
That is to say, the events of Port Said are an element of a counterrevolutionary plan of the imperialism and lackey bourgeoisie. The objective is a blood bath to crush the revolution in North Africa and the Middle East so that it does not cross the Mediterranean Sea and rise up the exploited European masses horribly attacked by imperialist governments.
The following events in Cairo on February 2 where the masses went back to the streets, set their barricades and occupied Tahrir Square when they realized the attack was organized by the murderous military junta, explain the massacre of Port Said was a counterrevolutionary action.
There was also a massive mobilization of "fans of various clubs and thousands of civilians" (as it was reported by the press) against the Home Office asking for "the Government of the Military Junta’s resignation." This mobilization was fiercely repressed. This was the latest report of one of the largest circulation newspapers in the country: "In Egypt the chaos continues. Just a day after the massacre at a stadium in Port Said that left 71 people dead, the demonstrators who went together near the Home Office in Cairo to condemn the lack of security measures at the stadium were harshly repressed by the police. The balance was 388 wounded”. "Another important newspaper stated that "Thousands of protesters took the streets to express their anger. They wanted to protest against the Supreme Council of the Army, which has ruled since Hosni Mubarak’s fall, as a result of the tragedy after the match between Al-Masry and Al-Ahly ".
At this time they talk about several more deaths at the hands of the repressive forces. While taking advantage of the events, the opportunists of that bourgeois party called the "Muslim Brotherhood" (supported now, by the monarchies of the Persian Gulf and after the fraudulent "Constituent Assembly" governing Tunisia through the Enahda party). These "Muslim Brotherhood", which always are very careful of staying thousands of miles away from the bullets and fighting masses-demonstrating, as before with Mubarak, they remain being faithful supporters of the murderer regime-, seeking to use the genuine hatred and masses mobilization to demand a negotiated and "democratic" way out of the Tantawi’s Government. Thus the "Muslim Brotherhood" tries the revolutionary masses not to crash the regime by conquering their arms and setting up their militias, by the way of the revolution as in Libya, a revolutionary impulse for the exploited people of the region, specially the massacred Syrian and Palestinian masses
Hatred grows and with it the murderous repression of the government. The streets of Cairo are again inflamed. New and more violent events are already underway. The revolution must stand up again and succeed. The world working class should ally with the Egyptians exploited masses throughout the region. The European working class has much to say and do.
Down with the government of Tantawi and the murderers generals, agents of the imperialism and supporter of the fascist
Zionist state of Israel!
We must conquer the popular and workers militias to crush the counterrevolutionary fascist gangs of Mubarak and the murderous officer caste Egyptian Army! For committees of the rank and files’ soldiers!
For workers and unemployed committees! We have to set up the armed power of the working class and its allies, the ruined middle classes of the city and the countryside! All to Tahrir Square to set up there the power of the exploited masses: the only legitimate power that will be able to guarantee bread, work, national independence and all the Egyptian masses’ demands expropriating the bourgeoisie and imperialism! For a provisional revolutionary government of workers' organizations, soldiers committees and struggling masses` organisms!
In Egypt: We must set up the militia of the revolutionary working class as in Libya! We have to call the soldiers' committees to ignore the murderer officers taking the masses’ side, as already it’s happening in the heroic battles of Syria! But to do so, the factory committees, the unemployed councils, the new unions set up by the working class must surround the barracks so that the mothers, women and workers will find their children, brothers and husbands as rank and files soldiers used by the murderous officer caste of imperialism and Mubarak to kill workers.
We have to retake the way of January and February of 2011! We must ignore the fraudulent parliament, the murderer military men and the Muslim Brotherhood, who are trying to expropriate the heroic revolution in Egypt! We must conquer the weapons for the workers and poor people as a guarantee to defend life, to win the bread for the exploited people of Egypt and break with imperialism! We must disarm the bourgeoisie and its armed men gangs! We must arm the working class!
With the police fascist counterrevolutionary gangs, the murderer generals of Mubarak’s Government and imperialism are trying to punish the masses. That’s enough! Popular and Workers Tribunals! And immediate execution of Mubarak, the counterrevolutionary generals and fascist gangs who massacre and cover in blood the people of Egypt!
From Tunisia to Egypt, from Libya to Syria, from the martyred Palestine to the Iraqi resistance, from Yemen to Qatar: A single workers' and socialist revolution for bread, against hunger and imperialist invasions!
In Oakland, Madrid, Athens and Milan the shout of the European and U.S. working class is "You have to fight as in Egypt". The massacres, such as the one of Port Said, are trying to prevent the war-cry of the American, European and worldwide working class from continuing spreading.
To fight as in Egypt, we must fight for socialist revolution! Down with imperialist Maastricht! Down with the butcher and murderer Putin and other lackeys of Merkel and Sarkozy as the Governments of Eastern Europe! Down with the regime of the American “Republicrats” and their counterrevolutionary centurions that control the planet under the orders of Yankees’ transnationals!
Stand up together with the working class of Egypt and Libya, and heroic masses of Syria! Long live the international socialist revolution!
