We, the Executive Committee for the 48th International Antiwar Assembly in Japan, express our firm solidarity with you in the international campaign against the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

  In our Appeal for the August assembly, we called on the working people all over the world: ‘Condemn the deadly attack on the Gaza aid flotilla by the bloodthirsty Netanyahu regime of Israel! Denounce the Obama government that permits the Israeli blockade of Gaza!’ We also sounded the alarm about the growing danger that the Israeli rulers would launch a military attack against Iran. We called on workers and people to fight to block this brutality in solidarity with Muslim people fighting under the banner of anti-US imperialism, anti- Zionism.
  We, as militant forces who had been carrying out this fight, resolved to advance the fight in Japan in solidarity with you when we learned that militant South African workers and youths launched a campaign to demolish the shame wall of Rafah and that Latin American comrades started the same fight.
  Here in Japan, the self-styled Japanese Communist Party leaders have not only organized no protest against the blockade of Gaza. They did not issue even a simple statement against the deadly assault on the aid flotilla. (They hate, in their hearts, the struggle of Muslim people, especially the Palestinian liberation movement led by Hamas, regarding it as ‘terrorism’.) While exposing this degeneration of the converted Stalinist bureaucracy, we have been building a struggle to defeat the Zionist Israeli regime’s blockade against the Palestinian people and to condemn the US imperialist patronage of this regime, together with antiwar, anti-military alliance struggles to oppose the US, Japanese and South Korean rulers preparing war against North Korea (and China). We are determined to promote the struggle against the Israeli blockade more strongly in international solidarity with your fight.
  At this moment, when a war crisis is growing in West Asia, the situation is also critical in East Asia. Allied US-Japanese-South Korean forces on one hand and, on the other, Chinese forces (with Russian troops) are carrying out military exercises against each other for the command of the East and South China Seas. The slightest provocation could have touched off a war. US imperialist rulers and the rulers of China and Russia are now in competition to strengthen their total military capability with a core in nuclear arms. Let us also promote struggles against this competition between the US and China-Russia to strengthen their nuclear capabilities!
Let us fight together!
