International Campaign for the freedom of the Suzuki workers injailed in India
For the inmidiate and unconditional freedom of Yogesh Kumar, the union workers of Suzuki in Maruti (MSWU) and more than 97 workers injailed in the hands of the Indian regime on behalf of the Japanese boss of Suzuki!
Long live the sacred right of the workers to make class justice with the slaved bosses!
Again the Indian working class make justice with the exploited bosses, as they did some years ago in Coimbratore hanging bosses who sacked workers in the factories.
Last Wensday afternoon (July 18), in Manesar district, only 50 km from New Dheli, more than 3000 workers of Suzuki factory, tired of the bad conditions from the managers and bosses and facing the dismissal of a fellow, they all met in the factory and burnt several buildings, beforehand they hit as much manager as they could.
One of the workers tells: “We were trapped surprisly. Suddenly, a bunch of people came running an started hitting me. They hit me with clubs, parts of the machine, or whatever they had. (…) We ran and somehow our lives were saved. We managed to jump and run to the hospital” said Siddiqui a superviser.
It was in this way that the body of the manager of the factory, Awnish Kumar Dev, was found burnt in the conference room which was burnt by the workers and more than 50 officials were wounded. This is the way to fight! For the unconditional right of the workers to make class justice with the bosses! This Japanese transnational “Suzuki” have moved two of their factories to India almost 6 years in order to use the workers as cheap labor. This Suzuki plant have more than 2000 workers and produce daily 1200 cars and 550 thousand per year, but at least two out of 3 of the workers this factory in Manesar are contracted and are aid 7000 rupias (U$S 126.18) per month. For many years they claimed to be full workers as the workers of Gurgaon factory, few kilometres from Manesar, that have 18000 rupias per month (U$S 324,45). |
The governemnt and the japanese bosses of Suzuki ut militaries in the factory with 1300 policemen and started a witch chase to the 3000 workers. Today 100 workers are in jailed accused of “murder”.
The government, with the boss and the policemen started a real witch chase agasint more than 3000 workers. Many of them have riun away from the city so they were not detained. The police goes in the streets of Manesar with a loudspeaker anouncing that the person who gave any data of Suzuki workers are going to pay with 500 rupias (U$9) as reward.
Some days ago Yogesh Kumar was detained, he is from the Worker Union of Suzuki in Maruti (MSWU) and more than 97 workers are detained in the hands of the Indian regime, accused of “murder” and “destruction of the private property”.
The Japanese working class first of all and the world working class cannot allo to keep the Suzuki workers another day. They made justice with the bosses for the rage of thousands of workers.
From the worker organizations of Japan and the world, we must launch right now an inmidiate campaign for the freedom of the workers of Manesar-Suzuki. Inmidiate and inconditional freedom to all the workers injailed of the Indian government and the Japanese imperialist boss of Suzuki!
