Tribute from the revolutionary workers of the LTI, Peru Monday, November 1st 2010 I am a militant that fought together with Roque Sanchez and I received the news a big shock to me; at first I couldn’t believe it and of course I tried to recover… how could I forget our last interventions on the Health Sector when a worker went on a hunger strike and all union bureaucracy came to discuss who was going to spend the night with the worker and after many pretext they didn’t agree. After seeing this situation he said “we stay tonight” so we took turns and we stood one day each. I saw in him great courage and devotion to the working class. We participated in almost any demonstration distributing leaflets and selling papers. I learn from him that the traitors of the working class can receive any advantage. He was clear on his interventions that we participated and where we created a big agitation on the audience of the union bureaucrats and the renegades. We had to leave many times for our own safety, which I took care of or we took care of. We had many interventions and many differences, as we all do, but he never gave in and he always said: “we have to work, let’s go the rank and files; let’s print leaflets, we have to visit the comrades”. He never felt defeated, he was optimist and stubborn with what he had learnt. In fact he was a big fan of the reading. I really admire him, despite his short age. That is why I play a big tribute to my comrade Roque Sanchez that will always be next to me fighting, distributing leaflets and selling papers because for me, he hasn’t die. Raúl P.
