Tribute to comrade Roque Sanchez from the agricultural workers from Cartavio, Peru 30/10/2010 A very close and dear friend who was in our dear land of Cartavio and who supported the strike of February 16th, 2010, which was one of the biggest of our history, seeing, after many years, the square with almost 3000 people about to seize the Treasury Department, nowadays the general management of our company, where our friend fought side by side and together with the people of Cartavio to stop the abuses of Gloria. You, Roque, were a witness of all what our people lived and it will be always grateful for ever for all your contributions. And I am sure that all of us who knew you will always have you in our minds, you will always be remembered. Rest in peace, our friend, knower and fighter of the workers!
One of the best cadres of the world proletariat has died. Despite he was young he assumed tasks of experienced militants. And he abandoned us fighting, for the intransigent Trotskyism, for world socialist revolution. His pen was fierce, perceptive and forceful. His boldness was known by the workers of Cartavio, when he didn’t hesitate in distributing leaflets in front of the army of policemen that was sent. And when his indignation was highlighted because of such massacre, too much opportunist cynicism, too many betrays, he mounted eloquence which disarmed any contrary answer. He died in Buenos Aires because he was a convinced internationalist and he died with the same revolutionary honour of our martyrs, because he died in the battlefield, in the fierce combat against all kinds of reformist leaderships, because he bravely said the truth to the proletariat, because with his pen he prepared the day we’ll overthrow this rotten world order armed with rifles.
