Proscriptive and anti-democratic elections legitimize the oppressing and murderous regime of Erdogan-Davutoglu and their armoured regime of NATO
Kurdish bourgeoisie, followed by the entire reformist left currents, finally supported this fraud
On November 1st the elections were held in Turkey. They re-edited the elections held last June, where the MP got by Erdogan’s parties –who had been ruling- were not enough to vote a government (i.e. vote a Prime Minister and cabinet by itself and they refused to do it with other parties from the bourgeois opposition and HDP (People’s Democracy Party, of the Kurdish bourgeoisie). Therefore, as they did not vote a government they were forced to the elections again. The result, as was expected, was a crushing victory of Erdogan´s party (which will vote Davutoglu as Prime Minister), conquering even more MP than the necessary ones to form government on their own.
Erdogan and his gang’s government had repressed exploited Kurdish people. In the last two months hundreds of arrested joined the over 10,000 political prisoners, those who killed, curfews in Kurdish cities and districts like Cizre, bombings by Turkish Air Force in the Kurdish zones of Iraq and Syria have been added to the regular raids and censorship against the media and offices of opposition parties.
Erdogan-Davutoglu’s government is an oppressor and murder government. Not only of Kurdish exploited people, but the working class, who faces a brutal repression when they fight.
After the attack in Suruc, killing Kurdish young men and women, the regime armoured itself. The army patrols the borders with Syria and police forces repressed in the street any protest against the government, while armed forces confronted the exploited Kurdish people with a civil war. Kurdish bourgeoisie organized a demonstration “for peace” and the answer was two bombs that killed around 100 people. Still, before this murderous government, the entire bourgeoisie leadership of the oppressed Kurdish people (including the Stalinist PKK) called to a unilateral ceasefire and to participate in the elections.
Thus the HDP of the Kurdish bourgeoisie participated in the elections on November 1st and call to for itself instead of confronting the government that was killing it. The left parties, including currents that call themselves Trotskyists and they are actually reformists, called to vote for the HDP against the government. They all participated in the highly proscriptive elections, which only aim was giving absolute majority to the Erdogan-Davutoglu’s party, and with this action they legitimize it.
The reformist left had been “supporting the Kurdish people”, but actually they were making a front with its bourgeoisie”. That is why they call to vote for HDP, Kurdish bourgeoisie’s party. Their conception is that the Kurdsih people must have their nation by supporting the bourgeoisie to have it. They revise the theory of the permanent revolution and carry out openly a Stalinist theory of two-stage revolution, where they think that there must be a first stage of supporting the bourgeoisie to get the nation and then do socialism. Therefore in last instance, despite the fact they call themselves Trotsyists, they end up like supporters of PKK (Kurdish Stalisnit Party).
Even if Stalinism and renegades of Trotskyism deny it, it is more than clear that Kurdish bourgeoisie is never going to carry out the self-determination of the Kurdish people. Because before being “Kurdish”, the bourgeoisie as such made business: with USA on their invasion to Iran, with Bashar Al Assad in Syria… and also with Erdogan. And Erdogan launched a fierce attack over the oppressed Kurdish people, while bourgeoisie kept asking to return to the pact and the agreements…
Since the attack started until the election’s day on November 1st, HDP kept saying that they wanted to participate in the elections, to look for a solution in the Turkish parliament. Actually it has been proved that even with 80 MPs and Erdogan losing his majority in the Parliament, the Kurdish people did not conquered a single demand; instead they were prosecuted, repressed and killed. And while the Kurdish masses set up barricades to defend themselves from Erdogan’s attack, their leadership told to cease fire unilaterally and called them to vote. Left parties that speak on behalf of socialism… also called the masses to vote.
Kurdish bourgeoisie only make business. They do not care about the Kurdish nation of their exploited people, but to use and manipulate it as exchange currency. Supporting, like reformist left did, the bourgeoisie, separating the Kurdish masses from the struggle of the workers in Turkey and from the revolution of Maghreb and Middle East is not supporting the struggle of the Kurdish people, but just the opposite. That is why in the end they legitimize their executioners, like Erdogan.
The ones who are suffering this policy are the Kurdish masses. They are paying since they were separated from the entire Turkish working class and from the revolution of Maghreb and Middle East. They are paying the pacts that their bourgeoisie made and tied their faith to the ones of their executioners’. And the way the masses are paying is with a brutal attack of Erdogan.
Let’s stop the massacre and prosecution of the Kurdish people! Let’s stop the attack of the Turkish government against wages and jobs! We have to unify again the Kurdish exploited people with the rest of the Turkish working class in the general strike! Down with Erdogan and his armoured regime of NATO!
For the right to self-determination of the Turkish people! The exploited and workers of the Kurdish nation must impose the break of pacts that their bourgeoisie has with USA and NATO in Iraq and Al Assad and Putin in Syria.
The resistance and the fight for bread and freedom of the oppressed peoples of Maghreb and Middle East need, as in 2011, a Kurdish people in the trench against imperialism and their lackey governments!
