The Libyan rebel militias don’t give up!
Neither before Heftar nor ISIS nor before the return of Gaddafite counterrevolutionary forces
They defend the gains of 2011 revolution!
Solidarity of the rebel militias and the anti-imperialist fighter Azu al-Shekhi, who resists with his mates in Tripoli in a compound expropriated to the parasite managers of the US-UK oil companies that plunder Libya’s oil!
It was 2011 when the Libyan revolution started. The masses rose, split the army, they set up their own militias, they confronted the army of the guardian dog of imperialism, Muammar al-Qadafy, they expropriate the bourgeoisie and take over government buildings, public hospitals and factories.
In the heat of these developments, a brigade made of youth from Benghazi, the capital of the Libyan revolution, when it entered Tripoli as Qadafy’s power fell, it expelled Qadafy’s army from a luxurious compound where the managers and engineers from the parasitic company British Petroleum lived. It is a place with extreme luxuries which are banned by law for the Libyan people but it was allowed for the managers and bourgeois of British Petroleum. This imperialist oil company takes away billions and billions of dollars from the Libyan oil and keeps for their managers big luxuries paid with that wealth that they steal from the Libyan workers and its people!
This place that the British Petroleum was usurping –since the real owners are the workers and the people of Libya- is today inhabited by one of the rebel militias that recovered it by expropriation (as lots of buildings were expropriated by the rebel militias) as part of the 2011 revolution, in which this brigade fought heroically and with blood.
The current leader of this militia is Azu al-Shekhi, a young worker’s son who was democratically chosen by the members of that brigade. Currently, his father, Mr. Mahmoud al-Shekhi, has been imprisoned for over 4 months in Benghazi in the jails of counterrevolutionary forces led by CIA and imperialism throughout a Gaddafite general. They want to extort him, because they know that this rebel brigade, as many others, refuses to disarm themselves, refuses to enter into the official army and its leader and the best activists do not answer to any bourgeois sector, but to the true 2011 revolution: the one that was made to conquer bread, freedom and a decent life, recovering the oil for the Libyans.
A few days ago, British Petroleum management organized a bunch of mercenaries to try and “recover” the houses compound which was expropriated by the militias in 2011 (throughout a successful insurrection that split the army and dismantled the Libyan state). The rebel militias were attacked. But the comrades, supported in the workers districts, resisted and repelled the aggression, led by comrade Azu al-Shekhi which was wounded during the clashes. These rebel militias still have the compound because the gains of the revolution are defended!
That’s what the imperialist parasites do: they pay for reactionary gangs of lumpen to attack on the most advanced of the fighters of the rebel militias, who have “dared” to rise against overexploitation and imperialist plunder and, as part of that fight, they have expropriated this compound, recovering it from one of the biggest thieves and plunderers such as British Petroleum.
We call for all the solidarity from all the workers and militant organizations of the world with these comrades, with the rebel militias and those who fight imperialism and their agents!
Free Don Mahmoud Khaled al-Shekhi immediately, who was kidnapped by CIA and the Gaddafite generals in Benghazi!
The Libyan rebel militias do not give up! They don’t yield their positions! They are not corrupt or subjugated to the bourgeois gangs that want to expropriate and drown the Libyan revolution in blood, in hand with imperialism and cynic arab bourgeoisies from the region!
Misrata bourgeoisie and the Muslim Brotherhood, CIA and Heftar’s fascismo, or Jathran separatism will be defeated if the rebel militias are coordinated with the oil workers committees (which had made a huge fight) and the whole exploited masses in Libya!
The Libyan revolution lives, yesterday in the heroic oil workers’ strike and today in the rebel militias!
The Libyan revolution lives in the resistance of Aleppo and the revolutionary offensive of the Yemeni workers and peasants!
Victory for the revolution of the workers and the poor popular sectors and the rebel militias!
From Tunisia to Tripoli and the untamable Aleppo, the exploited resist. Their victory is in the streets of Jerusalem against the Zionist invader and in the streets of USA and Europe, where the workers have entered into the fight.
