Proposal from WIL to the Congress of Unions and militant organizations of Zimbabwe

It is time to set up a true National Congress of employed, unemployed workers, militant youth and poor peasants to fight together with the South African workers; since against the democracy for the rich we need the democracy of those below to win!

To be able to eat, it is necessary to fight like the Marikana workers and rebelled mineworkers in South Africa

In order to advance towards a general strike that unifies our struggle, we need to set our own committee just like the Marikana workers set up their strike committee and defeated in civil war the union bureaucracy of NUM.
Their war cry was "R12.500 or we'll kill the manager!”

It is time to unite and set up a strike committee, for all the workers and exploited of Zimbabwe to rise

As we gather today in the United fighting committee, the workers in Zimbabwe suffer the same scarcity and outrages of the workers of the entire Africa and working class at world wide level.
IT IS TIME to stand up to fight for our job, our bread and life of our families.
IT'S TIME to confront determinedly the imperialism that plunder our nations and with their governments kill, repress, and stave workers in the entire tormented Africa.
IT'S TIME to set up a workers' alternative independent from the bosses. Everyone that wants to fight like in Marikana, and wants to set up fighting organizations with direct democracy of the exploited, and conquer a salary according to the family basket with decent job for all must come to fight with us to set up this platform of struggle of the workers against the slaver bosses, imperialism and its lackey government that represents them.

It is time to set up a true National Congress of employed, unemployed workers, militant youth and poor peasants to fight together with the South African workers; since against the democracy for the rich we need the democracy of those below to win!
This is the true power we must set up. Enough with the government of Mugabe and the boss politicians, agent of imperialism and the transnational companies!

This is the road that leads us to unify the working class to prepare and organize what we really need: a general strike to hit as a single fist against the exploiters, their governments and political parties.

To be able to eat, it is necessary to fight like the Marikana workers and rebelled mineworkers in South Africa. The demands for which the Marikana mineworkers rose up are the same demands  of all the worker movement in the region and the world working class: salary, decent job, and against the treason of all the leaders that speaking in the name of the unions and worker organizations only sell out workers to their executioners.

To be able to eat and have decent work we need to conquer a public works plan, based on a progressive tax on the big fortunes and super profits of the imperialist companies and their bankers. A public works plan to build decent houses, schools and hospitals for the workers and the poor.

To be able to eat and have decent work we need to expropriate the expropriators of the people. We need to finish with the trade secret and open the accounting books of all the transnational mining companies, the big landowners and the slaver bosses. This way we’ll see the super profits that they get with the starvation and plunder of the workers and the poor in Zimbabwe

IT IS TIME for the working class in Zimbabwe, united with the workers across Africa, to impose a workers plan of way out to the catastrophe to which the exploiters and plunderers of our nation took us.
IT IS TIME to conquer and organize a big general strike. We need to stop the farms and the cities. Schools will be closed. Nothing will work in Zimbabwe. This way we will show that the workers are the ones that produce the wealth and make this country work, while a handful of parasites steals our effort and sacrifice, plunging us into misery.
Open the road for the working class! Open the road for the students and the militant youth! Open the road for the poor peasants!

All the currents that claim to belong to the working class and socialists must put all their forces at the service of this strike committee of the workers of Zimbabwe.
ISO has a party in England, the SWP. It must support, without ‘halfways’, the workers that in Southern Africa are confronting the Anglo American. They have our enemy in their own home. They must take to the streets in support of our struggle. In Africa, they have to break their support to the bourgeois organizations, as yesterday they supported the MDC.

It is time to unite and set up a strike committee, for all the workers and exploited of Zimbabwe to rise.
Let’s unite, regroup and have a powerful working movement to defeat the government of Mugabe and his minions, the transnational companies and the slaver bosses!
Let’s unite our forces to confront the Anglo American and capitalism across the whole tormented Africa and their boss Obama, the one that commands the attack on the whole world working class!
Today workers are being tortured for standing for their rights.
We shall continue fighting for justice.
We demand those who killed our brothers justice should prevail!
We demand justice for our miner brothers killed in Marikana!
We demand justice for reckless shooting of Brown son in Ferguson (Missouri), who was a member of the Afro-American community of USA!
