October 18th, 2014 The United Fighting Committee of Zimbabwe travels to every city and region of Zimbabwe, organizing assemblies of workers, students and poor peasants With assemblies of direct democracy... The United Fighting Committees are setting up in every city, region and at national level Open the road to the working class! This is how the fight in Markina was carried on and this is how we fight in Zimbabwe Resolution voted by the meeting of Masvingo on October 18th, 2014 As we gather today here in Masvingo Province city of Anglo Platinum mine as United fighting committee, the workers in Zimbabwe suffer the same scarcity and outrages of the workers of the entire Africa and working class at world wide level. set up this platform of struggle of the workers against the slaver bosses, imperialism and its lackey government that represents them. The ideal of this gathering is to set up a true National Congress of employed, unemployed workers, militant youth and poor peasants to fight together with the South African workers in order to win. That's the only road map that leads us to unify the working class to prepare and organize what the workers of Zimbabwe and entire Southern Africa need. A general strike to hit as a single fist against the exploiters, their governments and political parties. We have to be organised just like the people of Marikana did and together as one fighting committee we can win. Our demands are the same our region and the world working class fighting for: salary, decent job, and against the treason of all the leaders that speaking in the name of the unions and worker organizations only sell out workers to their executioners. IT IS TIME to conquer and organize a big general strike. We need to stop the farms and the cities. Schools will be closed. Nothing will work in Zimbabwe. This way we will show that the workers are the ones that produce the wealth and make this country work, while a handful of parasites steals our effort and sacrifice, plunging us into misery. Open the road for the working class! Open the road for the students and the militant youth! Open the road for the poor peasants! Enough with the government of Mugabe and the boss politicians, agent of imperialism and the transnational companies! Let's unite, regroup and have a powerful working movement to defeat the government of Mugabe, MDC and ISO-Z who is currently working with the government. As we prepare ourselves for a general strike and working towards National Congress not in Zimbabwe only but entire Southern African countries. Let us unite our forces to confront the Anglo American and capitalism across the whole Africa. Let us demand justice for our miner brothers killed in Marikana! Let us demand justice for reckless shooting of Brown son in Ferguson. For us to achieve all this we must organise in every City of this country to set up the local general strike, organizing committee of workers peasants and stundents with roots in each factory workplace, school etc. We must collaborate with the masses for them to set up organs for the struggle. As the fighting organizations of the masses are set up by the masses. The general strike is a task that the masses should take as their own. The masses have to conquer it with assemblies in the farms, the cities, the schools and universities and in the workplaces. It is time we must set up a strike fund (committee) in which each union and organization make a contribution acording to the members they have. Starting with the Zctu and not to have paternalism. As workers we have to set up our own fund to guarantee the movements. A strike fund, a bond for the strike are fundamental tasks to organize the general strike for a national congress.
