In Buenos Aires, called by the workers of Paty… Internationalist assembly of the workers and the rebel youth For this May Day, the workers of Paty have called to an internationalist assembly of the workers and the rebel youth. The Trotskyist of Democracia Obrera (Workers Democracy) will attend to this rally, since the workers of Paty have been a clear example of daily struggle for the internationalist unity and the political independence of the workers. In every struggle the workers of Paty insisted on the need of "unity and coordination of all the struggles". Forged by the 2001 revolutionary struggle and program "everybody out, no one must remain" and struggling for the unity among employed and unemployed workers, all these years they called to set up coordination organs; they strove to convince all the workers organizations of the urgent call for a congress of delegates with rank and file mandate to organize a true unified fight for the GENERAL STRIKE against the trade union bureaucracy, the bosses, the transnational companies, Kirchnerite government and the anti-worker opposition. The imperialist company BRF (Quickfood) which owns Paty couldn't stand any longer that Paty workers keep imposing their method based on assemblies and direct democracy, going to every factory calling to re-take the path of "classism" of the '70s, "Cordobazo" and "coordination organs among different factories"; which is opposed to FIT's class collaboration policy to subordinate the workers struggle to the agreements with judges and blocks in the parliament made with bourgeois politicians. That's why, this company drecreed to shut down Martinez plant and leave on the streets and defeat these militant workers. It was not an economic reason but a political decision to do that, which was discussed in US embassy among the US officials of Obama's government, the representatives of Kirchner's government, the Argentinean Industrial Union and other bourgeois chambers. From inside the factory of Paty, which was occupied by its workers, there was a call made to all the workers movement to transform that factory in a "May Square", to organize the struggle for the demands of all the workers; since if the attack surpasses there, they will attack on the entire militant vanguard. The workers of Paty were isolated and their fight was defeated. The reformist left celebrated this outcome and "didn't realize" that the workers of Paty were right in their forecast, because a soon after that, the struggles in Calsa, Valeo, Lear and other factories suffered the same fate. However, the workers of Paty haven't given up. They keep on struggling in Argentina for the state-ization without compensation and to place under workers control Zanon, Brukman, Donnelley, Paty and all the meat processing plants and factories that close, suspend or dismiss their workers; while FIT is still playing "bourgeois cooperatives" (over 14 years now) where the workers have to give up to all their rights; they have to be self-exploited or take debts to be able to take home AR$ 4000 a month while the bosses whether collect their debt payment every month or are compensated. The workers of Paty have been expelled from their factory. They have been isolated and slandered. Nevertheless, raising the banners of proletarian internationalism, they have declared that their battlefield is the entire world. And they are still standing. They have fought in support of the workers and militias of Libya, when those were slandered by the reformist left internationally. They were accused of being "NATO ground troops" when they rose against Khadafy's authcracy. In their rank and file assemblies, the workers of Paty voted to raise funds that they later sent to the resistance of the masses in Syria that were confronting Al Assad's genocide. The workers of Paty and several struggle organizations around the world took part of the international day of struggle on December 12th, 2013, which has now become the INTERNATIONAL PERSECUTED WORKER DAY. They stopped the production of the factory (in Martinez) and a delegation travelled to the southern city Caleta Olivia to fight together with the oil workers against the court of Videlaist judges of the imperialist oil companies and Kirchner that condemned them to jail and a life sentence. The Trotskyist of Democracia Obrera (Workers Democracy) will attend to this worker's assembly called by Paty workers, because in the "Inter-Union Meetings" of FIT, those workers, in defense of the socialist revolution, propposed to confront the Castro brothers who were restoring capitalism in Cuba together with Obama. That propposal was dismissed by the leaders of "FIT", which were kneeling down to the new Cuban bourgeoisie. Furthermore, as it is shown in its own progam, FIT doesn't call to fight for a socailist USA (the country in which the result of any revolutionary fight in the continent will be decided ultimately) because they are enemies of calling the US workers to fight with the program "the enemy is at home": Obama and Wall Street bankers. No more impostures! FIT's rally on May Day is not a rally for socialism, because it doesn't call for the victory of the revolution and the workers to take over power. That's why they say nothing about the 2001 Argentinean revolution. For FIT, the "workers government" is "conquered" by "voting for FIT" against the bourgeois candidates in the upcoming elections. This is nothing but a re-edition of the Stalinist theory of "pacific way to socialism", which the working class has paid with a very expensive price. Their call for a "36 hours strike" is nothing but a formality and a mayfly demand on the trade union bureaucracy for it to be the one that calls for it. Because if they really had wanted to fight to impose a strike, they wouldn't have divided the vanguard before when they did different "union meetings" and "party rallies" (as those made at the end of last year in Platense, Luna Park and Argentinos Juniors), and if they want it now, they would be calling to set up rank and file committees and have assemblies in each factory to conquer a powerul workers congress to dispute the leadership of the unions on the streets against the bureaucracy, to conquer the unity of the workers rankls (between contracted, outsourced, out of contract and unemployed workers) and prepare a serious resolute struggle against the K government and the anti-worker opposition, both front men and agents of the business deals of the imperialist transnational companies in this Argentina sweat-shop. For these reasons we call not to go to FIT's rally in May Square, since it is neither socialist nor classist nor internationalist, as it doesn't call the Argentinean working class to fight in the same struggle with their workers brothers and sisters in the world. That's why, this May Day, the Trotskyist of Democracia Obrera will attend to the assembly called by the workers of Paty, because it will be the only assembly of struggle, truly classist and internationalist. Nobody who claims to be a fighter can be absent that day. This May Day, let's all go with the workers of Paty. |
